The marking desk
Get Feedback on Your Writing
Paste in an analysis paragraph, a data-response answer or a full essay. You will get back the kind of notes a teacher writes in the margin: where your chain of reasoning holds, where it jumps a step, and where the evaluation is missing. Never a mark, never a grade.
Your work, annotated
Numbered highlights match the margin notes. Read them in order, then the end comment.
End comment
For your redraft
Redraft, then submit again, improvement between drafts is where the learning happens.
How this desk works
Your writing is read against what A Level examiners reward: precise knowledge, application to the context, chained analysis and weighed evaluation. But you will never see a number. Research and every good teacher agree: when a grade appears on the page, students read the grade and skip the comments. Here there are only comments.
Write first, always. This desk will not write answers for you, and it will notice if you ask. Bring it your own reasoning, however rough, and it will help you weld the links and sharpen the judgement.
If the connected feedback service is switched off, the desk automatically runs a self-review instead, checking the bones of your answer, definition, chain, diagram and evaluation, and giving you prompts to strengthen it.
