Lesson sequences

Lessons

Topic-by-topic teaching sequences, each built around the same spine: define, build the diagram, chain the analysis, then evaluate. This page fills out as the topic guides go live.

The shape of a lesson

Each lesson sequence on this site will follow a consistent rhythm, so students always know what a topic asks of them:

  1. Define. The key terms, precisely, and why the precision matters for AO1.
  2. Build the diagram. Draw it together, label everything, and practise the shift the topic turns on.
  3. Chain the analysis. Model one chain aloud, then have students weld their own, link by link.
  4. Evaluate. Interrogate the analysis: magnitude, assumptions, time, and what it depends on.
  5. Write and feed back. A short timed outcome, routed through the marking desk, then redrafted.

To be completed

A skeleton for you to populate. Each topic page on the student site is a natural lesson anchor: pair it with its diagram drill and a short written outcome. Start from the worked demand and supply topic and build outward.
